As students and instructors involved in a class at Kickstart Coding, in the interest of fostering an open and welcoming community, we pledge to respect all students and members of the software community.
We are committed to making participation in this class a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of level of experience, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality.
Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:
- The use of sexualized language or imagery
- Personal attacks
- Insulting/derogatory (or "trolling") comments
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing other's private information without permission
- Other unethical or unprofessional conduct
The Kickstart Coding instructional staff has the right to eject any student for any behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful to the classroom environment. Repeated or egregious violations may result in full termination of enrollment and access to class resources, potentially without refund.
By adopting this Code of Conduct, students and instructional staff commit themselves to fairly and consistently applying these principles to every aspect of participiating in class. This Code of Conduct applies both within the classroom, and in public spaces when a student is representing the school or its community.
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting a member of the Kickstart Coding instructional staff. This can be done either in person or electronically via email or chat. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. The instructional staff will maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident.
