Announcing Python Cohort Spring 2018

by Michael Bethencourt — March 06, 2018

After lots of planning and curriculum fine-tuning, we've fully scheduled the Spring 2018 Cohort of the Kickstart Backend class! This class will be an indepth dive into Python, and open to both industry pros and noobs alike.

Whether you are already in the tech industry and are looking to brush up your skills or learn a new language, or if you are brand new and want to facilitate a career change, we've designed this course to have a sliding scale of difficulty that will benefit both cases. We use the latest technology to teach fundamental concepts at a much deeper level than other "bootcamp" courses, including Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Model-View-Controller (MVC) web apps, and even building up the backbone of the web (HTTP) from raw TCP (this last thing had me nerding out a bit, gotta admit). We keep everything relevant to what's in-demand in the industry today.

We're reserving space in an awesome old building in Uptown Oakland. It's a fantastic location that's only a few steps away from the 19th St. BART stop, making Kickstart Coding one of only a few coding schools in the East Bay.
